    Description

    This beautiful electrified oil lamp came from my grandmother's home.  The house was built in the 1870's and had never been out of the family.  It was stuffed with antiques from the 1800's.  I found pictures of similar lamps that were said to be Mount Washington - Pairpoint.  I could not find any markings other than the 44 on the bottom.  It needs to be re-wired, but the last time I checked, the "antique" bulb and also the bottom section lit up just fine.  (Hubby refuses to let me plug it in).  It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks that I can see.  My grandmother always said it was a special lamp, but who knows?
    I am terrified to ship this, so if you can pick it up - I live about 50 minutes northwest of Chicago, and obviously I will waive the shipping fee.
    I have put a large amount for shipping, as I am planning to take it to UPS and have them pack it for me.  If the shipping cost ends up being less, I will refund the difference.
