    The first decade after the 1976 integration of polyurethane components into skateboarding was a little rocky.  Batches of wheels would turn up for sale at the local shop looking like they were made in some surfer's garage.  Usually they were.
    Variflex
    early on adapted the vacuum pumps, lab conditions, and compound formulations that removed those pesky bubbles, and they never molded the intricate protrusions and crap that only caused weakness points.  They were about sleek, durable skateboard wheels that sold for about half of the big name brands.
    These 63mm 85a fiery orange-red lovelies are out-of-box NOS, and have never been geared up.  These two had their brothers cannibalized in the 80's to make rainbow wheel sets, and they got dumped in the skate kit.  They are ready to reunite with brethren for immediate deployment or for your collection.
