2006 D US Quarter Mint Error Mistake?
I am not an expert on coins in fact I know very little about them. I do not collect coins and I am not knowledgeable on mint mistakes Rarity or anything else so please read this description carefully. Also ask any questions prior to bidding. I will give the best answer I can.
Got this quarter as change at a supermarket the other day. Immediately caught my eye because it is completely made of copper. There is very faint silver color nickel around some of the details front and back but other than that it is missing the cladding on both sides and the edge of the coin.
I weighed it against another quarter of comprable year and this quarter weighs 0.2 grams less than a regular quarter. It looks to be slightly thinner than a regular quarter but not much. The diameter is the same as any other quarter.
