This beautiful crystal Pairpoint Glass cup plate's design is an adaption of part of a large mural by Rockwell Kent, which is located at the Cape Cinema in Dennis, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. The 6,400 square foot mural is on the auditorium ceiling, and depicts a vision of the heavens offering comets, galaxies and constellations alongside pairs of dancing lovers. The center of this plate features the Taurus-like bull that represents the Taurus constellation, which is part of the famous work of art. Pairpoint plate number 97 was commissioned for the Cape Cinema's 50th anniversary in 1980. The pressing was limited to 2,000 plates before the mould was destroyed
