Description
A very interesting and unique example believe to be Pairpoint art glass from the 1950s-1960s. This company was known to produce heavy examples of clear glass with spiral interior bubble patterns. Usually found in candle sticks, compotes and centerpiece bowls, this particular shape resembles a paperweight cologne bottle. The stopper consists of a ruby colored shape similar to a spruce tree. The stopper fits nicely into the heavy base exhibiting the controlled bubbles. The cologne stands8 1/4” tall, the base measures approximately 4 1/2” across and the stopper itself runs 6 1/4” long. Thorough examination reveals no chips, cracks, damage or repairs to either the base or the stopper. One of the branches on the stopper feels minutely rough on the end but does not reveal any chipping. The interior of the base is clean with no residue visible. Shelfware visible on the bottom from use. Also on the bottle a shallow polished pontil can be viewed. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description.
Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future.
Thank you.
