1979 Tri-logo Alva was 31" x 10.5" originally, now a wee bit shorter. As skated condition with old decals, painted steal your face and if you look close, pencil drawn weed plants on the tail. Serious patina wall trophy. I've never seen another tri-logo deck with tri-logo grip like this one, but unsure if actually rare. The leopard bottom Alva had the tri-logo grip and maybe this was a transition deck?I purchased this board new in 1980 from the Sidewalk Surfer in Scottsdale, AZ. I had just lost a new Santa Cruz concave, double tail to a parking lot car and wanted an old school, flat single tail board similar to my old DTS Bulldog and not as massive as my worn DTS Bigfoot. I was VERY disappointed in what was on display that day. Sandy Hamilton, the original owner of Sidewalk Surfer, said she thought she had just what I was looking for. She went in the back and came back with this deck. Said it came in a recent shipment alone and had she'd never put it out. Sold. Added Independent trucks and PowerFlex 9s (also listed) on top of a pair of Cell Blocks and found the best board of my life. I stopped riding flat wall in the early 80s and moved out to an apartment, using this board to get mail or show off when drinking. In the early 90s, my brother talked me into going to a new skatepark with a perfect pool. The Alva cracked across the center the first serious ride and has been on the wall in my garage since. Yes, my brother and I both still skate regularly. I ride a Bulldog Skates that's 32 x 10.5 and similar to this deck. Old dogs. I am retiring soon and downsizing, time to find some of my skateboard stash new homes.
