Description
LSD1046 Wet Noodle? Magnetic In-Wall Retrieval SystemThe LSD1046 Wet Noodle Retrieval System is the original magnetic ball chain retrieval system. Once a new concept, this method is now a "must have" installation tool. Made up of three components, this kit includes what you need for an easy wire run. The Wet Noodle is primarily used for running wire in un-insulated walls.
Made of steel, LSD's nickel plated chain is extremely durable and maneuverable. The steal chain is 10? long which is typically the perfect length for most installs. For the occasional tall ceiling, the chain is equipped with a small connector (at one of its ends) that can attach to another chain, doubling the length! On the other end of the chain is a large ring often called the "stop ring". This ring prevents the end of the chain from falling all the way down the wall and probably lost forever. The ring also gives you something to pull on to bring the wire back through the wall. It's a simple yet very important feature. This tool kit provides a quick and easy solution for in-wall blind wire pulling making it truly indispensable

24" Super Flexible Magnetic Retrieving Wand
This ultra strong Magnetic Retrieving Wand is able to bend any which way to get the job done. A newly added larger and more powerful 1/4" neodymium magnet to the opposite side of the already existing 3/16 original neodymium magnet, gives more pulling power to retrieve the evading ball chain. The neodymium magnet is a rugged earth magnet which is able to withstand repetitive beatings without ever losing its magnetism.
This retriever conveniently fits into even the front pocket of your t-shirt. Able to extend out to an amazing 18 inches, this retriever tool is perfect for snagging the chain from behind the drywall. At the end of the telescoping tool is a small hook, which is able to easily grab the chain from the small hole.
*Tech Tip
Remember not to try and pull the ball chain out of the hole with only the magnetic retrieving wand. When doing so, you will pull back much of the torn drywall and the hole will close up too much and you won?t be able to retrieve the ball chain. This is where the Extendable Pocket Retriever becomes very valuable. It hooks the chain to where you can slowly bring it out of the hole. Also remember, this tool is best suited for un-insulated walls.
How to use the Wet Noodle System:
Create a small hole for an entry point up on the wall and drill a small hole at the bottom directly below (1/4? hole for the small magnet end or 3/8? for the bigger end). Drop the Wet Noodle ball chain down giving it a slight jiggle to make sure it finds the bottom plate. In most cases you will ?catch? the ball chain by just putting the magnet end(s) into the bottom hole. If necessary, bend the flexible retriever into an ?S? shape to get into the wall for more difficult retrievals. Slowly pull the ball chain to just inside the bottom hole. Using the pocket retriever, hook the ball chain and bring it out the bottom line.
