    ...a pristine newsstand example! I have included some of the outstanding photographs covering
    The Beatles

    singer/songwriter guitarist, but there are scores of others included! The usual Rolling Stones journalists memorialize the former Beatle, while photographer
    Annie Leibovitz
    features a few full-color photographs (see pics #4 and #5) she was allowed to snap at John and Yoko's apartment home in
    The Dakota
    in Manhattan; these photos are considered "the last photos of John Lennon", before he was murdered. One of the features pictures Yoko and
    David Geffen
    leaving the hospital after the shooting, plus photos of mourning fans in Liverpool, England, Central Park in New York and in Washington, D.C (see photo #8). The magazine's back cover features Rolling Stone's personal tribute to Lennon, including lyrics to the song
